Either way, retro bikes have their own place in the British bike market. Muscle bikes, such as these two, fall into the category of retro, and seem to have been around since time began. The XJR Yamaha and the CB1300 Honda are arguably the only surviving members of the muscle bike gang. Both have watched the Kawasaki ZRX and the Suzuki GSX 1400

Acceleration is plenty powerful, especially in sport mode. This bike has lots of usable power readily available in all gears. At 145hp with 102 foot pounds of torque the bike feels safe on the freeway to pass or accelerate to merge. Braking is strong with ABS and 2 front rotors.
The FJR1300ES is loaded with long distance features that have enabled owners to enjoy the journey for more than 20 years. 1. Location. Stafford, VA. Nov 24, 2021. #18. The 2022 looks identical to the 2005 FJR had used to own, with the small exception of the badging on the side bags is slightly different. My '05 was one hell of a hot beast in the summer too! I sold it and bought an '07 which was much cooler to ride (and still own it).
On the Highway. Kawasaki claim 154 horsepower at 8,800 rpm, and more than 100 lb-ft of torque at 6,200 rpm. Which means the bike’s considerable “go” is relatively accessible. Thanks to my

I read some comparos on the new GTR1400 and the FJR 1300, but since I haven't the opportunity to test-ride the GTR1400, I would very much like to have some input from any of you that eventually owned a FJR before, and can tell me the real pros and cons between those two bikes.
The FJR is $6500 and the Kawi is $8500. The FJR has been tipped over in a driveway (really not too bad). The Concours is Pretty much perfect (needs a wax job to be flawless). I fit great on both bikes and I'm sure they will both have enough scoot for me :eek1.
Despite the relatively few improvements, the new FJR feels more refined than the model it replaces. Power output may not match the Concours 14 or K1600, but I wasn’t yearning for more. Fuel delivery from the 1298cc engine feels perfect, too. Make no mistake, the FJR has plenty of grunt to whip the head back under acceleration.
